Examination Dates and Sites
Candidates for MTNA Professional Certification may schedule and take the Music Theory, Music History/Literature & Pedagogy/Teacher Education Proficiency Examinations and the Certification Examination at any of the sites and dates listed below.
Certification candidates also may schedule exams through third-party learning or educational testing centers, such as Sylvan, Kaplan or Huntington:
By appointment at any center that offers the service of administering and monitoring examinations.
Certification candidates are responsible for making the scheduling arrangements for examinations and paying any administrator/monitor service fee at the selected center.
Candidates must also provide MTNA the scheduled date for the examination, the name of the selected center and the name of its director with his/her address, phone number and e-mail address to whom the Examination(s) and Guidelines for Administering and Monitoring the Examinations should be sent.
